ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is Autism Awareness Day in Manchester.  Mavrik McLean will be speaking the Lord’s Prayer, while we pray quietly in our hearts.  The purpose of this day is that there may be awareness, not only for Mavrik, but for all people with autism.  Jess and Cody would like to thank everyone for their support and for wearing blue.

On Wednesday, our congregations placed a divine call to Pastor Jeffery Drake.  Pastor Drake is a 2015 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.  He currently serves Trinity Lutheran Church in Hartford, and he has five children.  Please keep Pastor Drake in your prayers as he deliberates this call.

The Manchester voters will be holding their Quarterly Meeting after our worship today.  There are lots of things to discuss, so we hope our voters stay for the meeting.

Manchester Ladies Aid members, if you can make it, please come at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday night to help assemble the folders for the LWMS Rally.  We will start our regular meeting at 7:00.

Hey Youth Group kids:

  • The Youth Group is planning to clean up the Nick Krob Memorial part of Highway TC next Sunday. We plan to leave right after church.  After the work is done, we’ll head to Waupun for some eats.
  • Our next Youth Group Activity will be Sunday, April 28th. We will be playing Candy Bar Bingo from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at church.
  • May 19th, 6:30-8:00 p.m. – Campfire at church
  • Kalahari dates: July 15th-16th.  Kids going into 7th grade are welcome to go to the Kalahari.

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society Spring Rally will be held Saturday, April 27th, at Zion in Kingston.  (Our Ladies Aid is cohosting the rally.)  Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.  The afternoon speaker will be Pastor Daniel Sims, who is the Director of Christian Aid and Relief.

Looking ahead:

  • Confirmation Sunday will be May 5th. The Examination of the class will be Wednesday, April 24th, at 7:00 p.m.
  • A Joint Ascension Service in Manchester on May 9th, at 6:30 p.m. Pastors Hildebrant, Plagenz, and Straseske will be participating.  After the service there will be ice cream treats in the basement.
  • Vacation Bible School will be June 17th-21st, 12:30 – 3:00 p.m.

The Manchester Sunday School is currently looking for a treasurer.  This position involves keeping track of the weekly Sunday School offerings and writing a few checks.  Please talk to the pastor if you would be willing to serve in this way.  Thanks!

St. John’s Lutheran School in Fox Lake will be presenting two shows on April 26th at 1:30 and 7:00 p.m.  3K through 2nd grade will preform “Pajama Party,” and the older kids will be presenting “The Phantom of the Music Room.”

We wish to thank our Thrivent members who designated their “choice dollars” to our congregations.  The Manchester church just received another $1,349.

Watching the Church Services

You may have noticed that when you click on the service that you want to watch (on the "Sermons and Videos" page), the service will play on YouTube.  Hopefully the service will play better for you this way.  It also enables us to keep more videos on our website longer.  You can also still find our services on Facebook.

How to watch the sermon video?

Hey everyone,
I have had many questions about how to watch the sermon videos and questions on why does the video pause several times while watching. The reason is your computer is playing the video faster than your computer can load it. So, to watch the entire video without a pause allow your computer to load the video and how to do that is just keep the video on pause. The line under neath the video with  a white dot will become darkened. When the entire line has become dark that means the video is loaded. Depending on how fast your internet connection is will determine how long the video will take to load. If you have any other questions please contact Pastor or Cody McLean and we will be glad to help you.

Hope everyone has a great day!
